A Friday Rambling
I know that many of us juggle work and personal lives, often sacrificing weekends for the sake of productivity. While taking a Saturday off might seem like a reward *which is actually what it should be*, Sundays frequently become a frantic scramble to prepare for the week ahead, leaving us exhausted and questioning whether this relentless cycle is truly sustainable.
All of that mess, makes me wonder about the elephant in the roommm: does the company genuinely need to hire more employees, or are efficiency measures being prioritized over employee well-being? The relentless pressure on existing staff creates an environment where burnout and dissatisfaction are rampant, further complicating the quest for a healthy work-life balance (does this even exist??).
Amidst this struggle, it's easy for some of those who born into wealth and privilege to overlook the day-to-day challenges faced by those who must constantly strive just to make ends meet. They may not fully grasp the daily grind of juggling work, family, and basic necessities. While some might dismiss this as "social jealousy," it's crucial to acknowledge the systemic inequalities that perpetuate these disparities.
I'm well aware that I'm being highly judgmental right now, but honestly, I don't care: I know people who would go straight to other people and say 'Oh, stop complaining, start DO SOMETHING USEFUL," and I genuinely think they're a$$holes.
And I also think telling someone "you can do it" without providing adequate support, or at least feeling in their shoes is similar to offering empty platitudes. Many individuals work tirelessly their entire lives without ever achieving prosperity. Systemic poverty is a harsh reality, and those fortunate enough to avoid it should recognize their privilege and advocate for change.
Okay, that is all. I just had to get that off my chest 😑
